Operating principles

The club’s current About page names five principles. This mockup keeps them intact and gives each one room to be read.

  1. 01

    Speed is the master principle

Training follows a non-linear periodization scheme. Speed and strength are developed across a two-week microcycle, with year-round speed work kept in the program.

  2. 02

    Strength is speed’s best friend

Strength means being able to sustain useful speed in a race. A strength week complements each speed week so athletes can bring their pace into competition.

  3. 03

    Programming and recovery

Progress depends on the deliberate balance of stress, adaptation, specificity, and rest. Hard work only holds when recovery is part of the plan.

  4. 04

    Competitive mindset

Physical preparation needs self-awareness, intelligence, and tenacity. Competition is treated as a skill that can keep developing alongside speed and strength.

  5. 05

    Nutrition and hydration

Fueling and hydration are deliberate parts of training and competition. Plans are adapted to the individual athlete rather than forced into one universal formula.
